How They Met:

“Believe it or not, we met at Mad River during the Manayunk Bike Race.  We were with two separate groups that sort of came together at the bar.  Daniel came right up to me and introduced himself and we hit it off.  He was handsome, polite and I was smitten.  The rest is history.”

The Proposal:

“Everyone who knows me knows how much I love Christmas time.  Daniel proposed at Longwood Gardens in front of the Fountain Show.  I was completely shocked.  I was even more shocked when I turned around to see our family and friends in the crowd behind us who had been there the entire time waiting for the big moment.  It was truly magical.”

Wedding Planning Experience:

“I loved wedding planning!  Sure there were some stressful moments, but for the most part, I found it to be really fun.  I loved all of the special moments I got to share and spend with my Mom during the planning process: dress fittings, shopping for wedding stuff, my bridal shower, etc. I will cherish those moments forever.”

Wedding Inspiration:

“We really just wanted our wedding to be simple and elegant.  We didn’t have a traditional bridal party.  I had my sister and my best friend stand beside me and Daniel had his brother and best friend.  We stuck to ivory and white for colors.  The guys chose classic tuxedos that they felt comfortable in and my sister chose a beautiful ivory gown.  We wanted them to feel their best that day.  Music was a huge part of our day.  From the ceremony to the reception, every musician involved was a friend or a family member.  It means the world to me that our friends and family were involved and shared their talents with us.”

Best Memory:

“There are so many moments that come to mind.  If I had to choose, I’d say probably when the church doors opened and I saw Daniel standing on the altar, my dad beside me squeezing my hand, surrounded by all of our closest family and friends. It was surreal.”

Wedding Planning Advice:

“I think that sometimes less is more.  We can get caught up in trying to do everything and make everything bigger.  Sometimes bigger isn’t better. And just try to enjoy everything!  Things will not always go as planned but that day, it doesn’t even matter!  You’ll be on cloud nine. :)”

Wedding Vendor Experience:

“We only have great things to say about our vendors.  They really took the time to get to know us and what was important to us.  We wouldn’t change a thing. We did a lot of research but when it came down to it, we didn’t go see a ton of venues or vendors.  We knew what we wanted and it made it easy to choose.  They were all amazing.”
