How They Met:

From the Bride: “My husband and I met in college, at Loyola College in Maryland, when he was a sophomore and I was a freshman.  Our dorm rooms were down the hall from each other, and we became friends almost right away.  Ten years latter we’re married, and still best friends.”

How He Proposed:

“Brian and I were getting ready to head to the beach with our friends for Labor Day weekend, and he suggested that we take our dog, Libby, for a walk.  When we were walking through Rittenhouse Park, Brian surprised me by getting down on one knee and asking me to marry him.  Afterwards, we walked over to Parc and sat outside drinking champagne to celebrate.  It was an amazing day, and we celebrated with our friends and family all weekend.”

“I really enjoyed planning our winter wedding. Surprisingly, when we started looking at venues in September 2014, everything for fall 2015 was already booked. We didn’t want to wait for spring, so we decided on January 2, 2016. Our incredible vendors made planning a breeze, and I enjoyed the process of choosing all of our wedding details.”

Best Memory:

“Our first dance sticks out as the best moment from our wedding day. By that point in the day, my nerves had subsided, and dancing with Brian to one of our favorite songs, while seeing the beautiful Down Town Club ballroom for the first time with our closest family and friends was a great moment.”

“My one piece of advice would be to do a first look. Doing a first look gave us a moment to take a deep breath and to soak in the excitement of what was to come later that afternoon. Doing a first look also allowed us to attend our entire cocktail hour, where if we hadn’t, we’d be spending that time taking pictures. “
