A Traditional Wedding With Lilly Pulitzer Style
Ashley and Timothy’s summer wedding at Sunnybrook Golf Club featured classic details with flair! The bride works for Lilly Pulitzer so of course, those same resort vibes were present on her special day. We adore the arrangements designed by Nancy Saam Flowers that included subtle hints of pink within the traditional white and green scheme. As pretty as this wedding was, the surprise fireworks were the perfect end to a vibrant celebration! How They Met
“We met about seven years ago while out in Manayunk with friends. It must have been fate because we ran into each other several times over the next few months. Finally, after a few failed attempts to meet up, I decided to message Tim to hang out at a Beer festival, which is ironic because we are huge wine lovers. The rest is history.”
The Proposal
“On October 31, 2015, Tim proposed and it was perfect. I just turned 30 on the 30th and was all packed to go on a ‘trip.’ We headed to my parents’ house to drop Bella, our Corgi, off on the way. When we got to my parents, I experienced the most fabulous surprise of my life. What I thought was a surprise 30th Birthday party with all of our family and friends, turned into the moment I had always dreamed of. While in the midst of greeting and hugging everyone, Tim grabbed my hand, got down on one knee and asked the most important question of our lives. The answer was YES.”
Wedding Planning
“Ever since I was a little girl my dad and I talked about planning my wedding. It was exciting (but very stressful too). It was my dream to have the perfect fairytale wedding. The planning was a lot to handle but thankfully my parents were extremely supportive and helpful. The most difficult decision was where it would be. After searching both in the city and suburbs, we went to see Sunnybrook Golf Club in Plymouth Meeting, and immediately fell in love with the venue.”

“Sunnybrook Golf Club was, for us, just the perfect venue. From its elegant dining area to its beautiful picturesque views and fabulous food, it simply doesn’t disappoint. It was near where we both grew up and our church, so the location was also ideal. It allowed me to get ready at my parents’ house, with my bridesmaids, just like how I always pictured it. One of the coolest things that the venue allows, which was a complete surprise to us on our special day, was the fireworks.”
