How They Met:
“Rory and I met while we were both undergraduate students at Saint Joseph’s University, we instantly hit it off. We went on our first date in September 2013 and have been inseparable ever since!”
“I love Rory’s incredible thirst for knowledge and passion for education, his ability to connect with anyone he meets, and his desire to make the world a better place, one day at a time. I also really love his right dimple.”
The Proposal:
“We were on what I thought was an impromptu trip to New York City, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that Rory had planned the whole day visiting my favorite places in the city. We were strolling through Central Park at the end of the day when Rory pulled me into an empty gazebo, recited a poem he wrote me, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. It was a low key proposal which is exactly our style but all the small details throughout the day showed me he put a lot of thought into it which made it the most romantic day of my life (so far).”
Engagement Session Inspiration:
“We wanted to find a way to incorporate our everyday lives in the shoot while showing off our beautiful city at the same time, Rory and I take the El almost everyday and the “A Love Letter For You” Murals always brighten the commute. We also hoped that the bright and fun vibe of the murals would lend a spontaneous quality to the photos. Finally, we wanted to capture some of the more iconic scenes of boathouse row and the art museum for more formal (but still fun!) photos.”
Wedding Planning Experience:
“Our wedding planning experience has been a fun challenge so far! The big things like venue and date have been established, we’re focusing on the smaller details now. That, and solidifying the guest list.”
Engagement Session Experience:
“Working with Kerry was amazing. She brought a really positive energy to the shoot, there was never an awkward moment. Rory and I were both nervous about getting our photos taken but Kerry inspired us with confidence and made it really fun and easy. She has an incredible eye and you can tell that she is passionate about her photography. We’re looking forward to working with Kerry on our wedding day!”
