How They Met:
“Andrew and I met online! He correctly guessed my birthday from the numbers in my username and took it as an opportunity to wish me a belated happy birthday and start a conversation. We met up for coffee soon after.”
The Proposal:
“Andrew proposed in Rittenhouse Square on a rainy Friday night. We have a lot of great memories there, so it was the perfect place for the proposal. He was stressed about the impending rain, but he was able to beat the rain even after I threw a wrench in his plan by insisting we get ice cream before going to the park.”
Engagement Session Inspiration:
“We wanted to showcase our favorite aspects of Philadelphia, and a really important one is art. We both love South Philly with all of its murals and Zagar mosaics, so we definitely wanted some of those to be featured. We also love exploring alleys and side streets. In fact, one of our favorite activities is just walking around the city and letting our own curiosity dictate the path. Our engagement shoot was exactly that, and we are both really happy about how the photos turned out.”
Wedding Planning:
“We’ve enjoyed coming up with creative ways to make our wedding fit our personalities. There are a lot of decisions to be made, so we made sure to prioritize what is important to us and split tasks between ourselves. For us, curating the menu was an important factor, so we spent a lot of time making sure that there was something for all of our guests to enjoy. There is a lot of pressure out there to think your wedding is the most important day of your life, which is of course ridiculous when you think about it. Keeping things in perspective goes a long way when planning a party such as this.”
Engagement Session Experience:
“Alison is great! We were both quite anxious beforehand, but she knew exactly how to handle our nerves. By the end of the shoot, posing in front of a camera felt like the most natural thing in the world! She has a great eye for interesting backgrounds and found some really cool settings, while also letting us guide her to some of our favorite spots”
