It’s that time of year when the weather may or may not be on your side, but it’s admissible to snuggle in the thick of nature. Fort Washington State Park was the perfect backdrop to these moody engagement photos that display beautiful fall foliage in semblance with this couple’s organic love. Anna and Sky met, fell in love, and now they’re celebrating their dedication to one another in the most complete way. As artists, it’s hard to believe that this shoot would be anything less than spectacular! Anna is a local Tattoo Artist, and Sky is a Circus Arts Performance Instructor. Together they bring fall inspiration to us all and Captured by Caity photographed the two among the wildflowers (the breathtaking results are below).
How They Met:
“At Barcade! Our respective best friends had met on Tinder and wanted to make it a double date, so we were a blind date’s blind date.”
Anna: “He brings enthusiasm and joy to every experience, he is unfailingly kind and thoughtful, and he can make a delicious meal out of absolutely anything.”
Sky: “Her kindness and her ability to support me and communicate well.”
The Proposal:
“It actually wasn’t a surprise! Surprises make Anna anxious, so instead we picked our favorite restaurant, a tiny hole in the wall gem of an Italian place called Fiorino, and spent the meal talking about our relationship, what we loved about it and how we wanted to grow together and improve. And then, with a glass of bubbly and a serving of “La Bamba,” he popped the question to the applause of everyone in the restaurant.”
Engagement Session Inspiration:
“We asked Caity for a moody autumn shoot, a little haunting in a romantic, Byronic kind of way. I sent her reference pictures of foggy, cozy scenes with lots of trees. We also asked to avoid getting overly rehearsed-looking and aim for a natural feel.”
Wedding Planning:
“It’s been a roller coaster! We’re on our fourth attempt at locking in a date and venue and each time we’ve come up with a whole plan that needed revising with each change. Let’s cross our fingers the fourth one is the one!”
Engagement Session Experience:

She’s really good at making her clients feel comfortable, always ready to joke around or give you some time to get your giggles out.
