Meet Swapna and Mark

How they met: “The first time we met was in college, at the University of the Sciences. We became good friends since the day we met and it took a while before we actually started dating. (That’s a whole another story!)”

How he proposed: “Mark has always been enamored with music so he found it fitting to propose to me via a song he had written. He had a very talented friend record the song and had set up a staged open-mic show for us to attend. The night of, I sat in awe as I not only watched his friend go up to sing this song Mark had written, but saw a video to accompany it that had all of our close family and friends holding up lyrics to the song. As if that was not enough, as the song came to an end, everyone who was in the video walked in to witness Mark pop the question and celebrate our love! This is the actual video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xO0cr_e0zM4

What do you love most about Philadelphia? The food! We look for any excuse to visit Philly because we know we can stop by our favorite spots.

What was your inspiration behind your engagement session? “Philly was the city that birthed our friendship and more importantly our love. We wanted to pay homage to the city that took us in during our first chapter together. During our shoot we were able to reminiscence through our own memories we had at those locations.”

Wedding planning:”We have a date – that counts right? We have just about a year left so we are getting organized with what we need to do in the coming months. So far we don’t want to rip each others heads off, albeit we have been warned it’s coming.”
