Philadelphia is a charming place all on its own, but it’s even lovelier when we get to see our city as the backdrop of LOVE. Emily and Aaron are seemingly head over heels for each other, and their undeniable charm shows in every photo. Asya Photography perfectly captured this couple’s chemistry, and natural qualities that display their parallel connection. Considering that Emily and Aaron both work in the wedding/events industry I think it’s safe to say that their wedding at the Down Town Club next January will be nothing short of amazing! Congrats to the lovely couple, we wish you both the best!
How They Met:
“The way we met is the very definition of a “meet-cute”- Aaron walked into my office at the University of the Arts, our eyes met, sparks flew and that was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Aaron’s father Larry is a Trustee at the University, and his brother Jake had been interning in our office, so we were bound to meet at some point! Jake jokes that he never thought to set us up, because Aaron is a such a free-spirited goofball and I am much more serious and Type-A. We balance each other out perfectly!”
Aside from her job in fundraising, Emily is also the owner of CalligraPhilly!
“We had only been dating for four months but both knew that this was meant to be! I was taking Aaron out to Utah for his 25th birthday and we were about to leave for the airport, when we got an alert that our flight was delayed. Aaron asked if he could see the ring that I was wearing on my right hand (a birthstone ring that my grandmother had purchased when I was a baby, and given to me as a high school graduation present). He knelt down, and asked if I would marry him. It was quiet, intimate and absolutely perfect for us! I later got to pick the ring of my dreams, an antique-style Old Mine Cut diamond in a platinum halo. Aaron knew how much I loved jewelry and had us choose it together, to make sure it was exactly what I wanted.”
Engagement Session Inspiration:
“We knew that our wedding photos would be taken in Old City and were living just off of Rittenhouse, so we knew that we wanted our engagement photos to be taken in and around Rittenhouse Square. Our favorite photo is the one in front of the house that Aaron lived in for the first few years of his life before his family moved out to Villanova. We also took photos in front of Hamilton Hall at the University of the Arts, where we met, and got some amazing shots at the top of the Kimmel Center in the Hamilton Garden!”
“Our photographer, Asya of Asya Photography, is incredibly talented and we are so lucky that she was available to work with us! She was great at putting us at ease while posing and the photos came out better than we could have ever imagined.”
