Classic Chic New Jersey Wedding At The Merion

“Roy and I met at Archbishop Ryan High School. We started as friends, but one night at a party we hit it off, he kissed me, and the rest is history!”

“Roy told me that we would be going to a wine tasting event with a group of people from his office. That morning he picked me up, we had a great brunch at Three Monkeys in Northeast Philly, and then we drove to beautiful Buckingham Vineyards. Once we entered, I didn’t recognize any familiar faces, but Roy insisted we go down to the wine cellar. I was reluctant to go thinking we weren’t allowed down there, but still, I followed. Once I entered the cellar, all I see are candles everywhere and two pumpkins carved ‘Will you marry me?’ My first response was ‘Oh my God we have to get out of here we’re going to ruin someone’s engagement.’ As I’m ready to leave the room, Roy grabs a ring box on the table, and he’s on his knee. I was so caught off guard that this was all really happening! Crying hysterically I said ‘Yes!’ We popped a bottle of Champagne and celebrated. It was so perfect, and a moment I’ll never forget!”

“We got married at The Merion in Cinnaminson, NJ. I come from a big Italian family, so one of the most important parts of our wedding had to be the food! We went to an event hosted by The Merion to showcase the venue and all of the beautiful things it has to offer. Before I knew it, we somehow made it in the kitchen, and the staff insisted we eat back there! The staff at The Merion was truly amazing, the venue was absolutely beautiful, and the food was out of this world. Selecting The Merion was a no-brainer.”

“I wanted the wedding to be classic and chic. For the color scheme I wanted it to be timeless, so I went with a lot of ivory, gold, blush and tons of greenery. It also tied in with the venue beautifully!”

“My favorite memory was seeing Roy’s reaction when I surprised him with a Merrill Reese announcement. He is a die-hard Eagles fan, and I secretly had Merrill Reese announce us for the first time as husband and wife. He was so shocked and excited, and that made me so happy!”

It flies by so fast and before you know it you’re saying ‘I Do.’ Also, if you or your fiancé have something special you would like to do for the wedding whether it be big or small, just do it!
