Tess and Danny’s garden wedding is the perfect example of what wedding dreams are made of! As a little girl, the bride always knew Paxson Hill Farm was the place that she would one day say “I do.” The ethereal gardens lent it’s beauty for a European styled celebration featuring clean design, greenery, and shades of pale pink for the bridesmaids dresses, florals, and decor. du soleil photographie photographed every endearing moment, and her attention to detail shows in all all of the lovely photos below.
How They Met
“Danny and I met at a keg party in Shippensburg, PA. It was fall semester 2010; I was a freshman, Danny, a senior. My friend and I were on our way to a party off campus when suddenly I really had to pee. We heard some music and saw a couple of people walking into a house, so we took a chance and went in.
After realizing it was a small pregame, we had ourselves a situation. Luckily Danny Guthrie was present. And offered not only a toilet but a beer as well. The rest is history.”
The Proposal
“September 2016.
Praiano is a small town along the Amalfi Coast in Italy. It’s a bit off the beaten track, but that’s why we picked it. We were staying at the most beautiful Bed and Breakfast that sat on the cliffs and offered a house wine that was on the tap in the hotel room. It was magic.
We had a long day touring Capri, and I was eager to get out on the deck with a glass of vino. I remember rushing around and not caring about how I looked for the night (looking back I total wish I put makeup on). I thought Danny was just relaxing on the balcony, but in reality, he was asking our neighbors to take pictures of the proposal.
I came out and saw them talking. When I walked Over Danny introduced me to them, and we chatted for a bit. Before we parted ways, Danny asked them to take a picture of us. As we were posing for the picture, they told me to look more out towards the water. I didn’t think anything of it but did think it was a bit weird. When I turned my head back around, Danny was on his knee.”

“My venue was everything I wanted and more. I was lucky enough to have a close family friend that lives on a beautiful estate in New Hope, PA. Ever since I was a little girl and going to his property, I knew I wanted to get married there.
The happy hour was hosted in his back garden area. As I’m sure, you can see in Minh’s amazing pictures I left it very simple for the decorations and focused the attention on the reflecting pool and flowers.
As the reception started, guests walked around (through more gardens) and were led to a sailcloth tent under the stars.”
