Adelle and Will’s wedding at Greenville Country Club are what wedding dreams are made of! From the Photographer, Adrienne Matz: “Adelle and Will met way back in 7th grade English class. When they were placed in the same group for a book project, they immediately started talking, and, even though they were both shy people. That was the beginning of a friendship that lasted until they started dating about four years later.
Adelle and Will’s Greenville Country Club wedding in Wilmington, Delaware was perfect in every way. These two are such an amazing couple, and they picked the most beautiful location for their wedding. Greenville Country Club seems like it’s straight out of a fairy tale with its lush gardens and stunning architecture.
One of the couple’s loves is National Parks and instead of table numbers they used a vintage poster for every National Park they had visited!”
How They Met
“We met in 7th grade English class. We had to pick a book to read and do an assignment on. We both raised our hand for the same book. When we got into the group, we immediately started talking, and, even though we were both shy people, it was so easy to have a conversation and found we didn’t spend much time talking about the book! That was the beginning of a friendship that lasted until we started dating about four years later.”
The Proposal
“We went on a trail run at State Line Woods Preserve just the two of us the day after Christmas in 2015. When we were nearing the end of the run, Will said that he was done the run and wanted to walk for a bit. Adelle was a little confused but just went along with it. Will then suggested they walk up this hill where there is a bench that looks over the beautiful landscape of the preserve. We sat on the bench for a few minutes taking in the view, and then Will surprised Adelle by getting up and getting down on one knee and asking, Will you marry me?”
Greenville Country Club
“We knew we wanted the option to have the ceremony outside, but we didn’t know exactly what we were looking for. We looked at a few different places, and then a family friend suggested to us to check out Greenville Country Club. As soon as we toured it, we knew it was the place we wanted to pick. We especially liked the gardens and architecture and the general feeling we got when we were there.”
Best Wedding Memory
“Finally being married, celebrating with all our friends and family, and seeing all the planning/hard work coming to fruition.”
