Brianna and Matt’s wedding was perfectly set at Glen Foerd on the Delaware, a historic waterfront venue just outside of the city. This elegant fete granted two beautiful souls to unite, while being surrounded by their loving family and friends, which is all a bride and groom could possibly want on their wedding day. Bartlett Pair Photography showcased every single moment and detail in these photographs that show us a glimpse into this couple’s special day. The vibrant color palette, and the subtle hints of foliage and greenery all give this wedding the crisp look that every fall wedding should aim for.
From the Photographer, Bartlett Pair Photography: “Brianna and Matt are two of the sweetest people ever – seriously. Their love was inspiring, playful and pure and we were so happy to be part of their wedding day. Oh…and to top off their lovely personalities, Brianna and Matt literally could not take a bad photo, so our job was pretty easy! Their Glen Foerd on the Delaware wedding was so scenic and regal and made even more special by the fact Brianna’s family has a long history with Glen Foerd. Her grandmother actually has a tree dedicated to her there for helping to preserve the estate. We had the best time and couldn’t be happier for Brianna and Matt!”
How They Met:
“Matthew and I met in college. We both were attending La Salle University for our degree in nursing.”
The Proposal:
“Matthew proposed to me at Watkins Glen (part of the finger lakes) while hiking the Gorge Trail in Watkins Glen, NY. He proposed on a trail called “Lovers Lane” right over a large waterfall. I love the fall and the leaves were all turning at that time it was beautiful.”
Wedding Inspiration:
“I love the fall and I wanted a lot of nature to be involved. I grew up across the street from Glen Foerd, and I know the land very well. It was very important for me to have my wedding there. My grandmom had worked at the Glen Foerd Mansion years ago and was involved in saving the mansion from being bought and torn down. She passed away when I was just 2 years old, I knew she would be proud watching over me. She also had a tree planted there in her name which I visit often.”
Wedding Planning:
“It was stressful at times but also extremely exciting. I am not the party planning type, but I somehow got threw it! There is so much out there to help you along the way. I just took one project at a time. It was especially fun to see each others perspectives on things as a couple.”
Wedding Planning Advice:
“Don’t stress over the little things. Appreciate the time and decision making you have with your significant other while planning. Everything will fall into place.”
Best Wedding Memory:
“Stepping back together as a couple and glancing at all of our guest enjoying their time celebrating us, followed by Moon light photos.”
Wedding Vendor Experience:
“I had a great experience working with my vendors they made everything stress free and helped me with decisions making. Our florist, bakery, and photographer especially made our day perfect. They really understood my vision for our wedding day, I couldn’t be more grateful.”
