The beautiful bride-to-be Kara and her beau Ryan nailed their engagement photos, and took their absolute form as a newly engaged couple. The scenery of Society Hill complemented their classic vibes, and set the tone for a timeless e-session. Alison Leigh snapped every darling moment, as this couple enjoyed cocktails at The Twisted Tail, danced over the cobblestone streets, and convincingly enjoyed the presence of one another. Not only is this couple super adorable but their sense of style will have you falling in love with every photo of their romantic session!
From the Bride-to-be: “Ryan and I met in high school actually, we [weren’t dating] though we were just friends. We did go to a dance together though ha! We reconnected after college through mutual high school friends and we have been together ever since.”
“What do I love most… His goofiness and huge heart. He also accepts me and all of my quirks which is always a plus!”
“Ryan actually proposed to me on his birthday at Butcher and Singer this past July. I had a secret dinner planned and when they brought out the desert plate that I assumed would say happy birthday on it, it in fact said “Will You Marry Me?”. I did not see it coming and have never been so surprised in my life.”
“My entire wedding I am going for a traditional, rich, elegant, and timeless. I know that is a lot of adjectives in one sentences but it is hard to pinpoint just one. I knew I did not want our pictures to look to posed and I knew I wanted them on the beautiful streets of society hill, the scenery is breathe taking and made for beautiful backgrounds paired with our simple attire. Our second outfit with the bike was out of the box for me I just wanted something that went against our theme it was more hipster boho and I love that we were able to get two totally different shots.
We are getting married December 3 2016 at Cairnwood Estates. The experience has been amazing. Cairnwood was the second place I saw and I did not want to see anything after that. It is the most amazing property traditional, elegant, and timeless all in one.”
From the Photographer: ” One of my favorite spots to take photos in Philadelphia is Society Hill because there are so many different backdrops: historic alleys, classy bars with outdoor seating, old brick housing, and let’s not forget (my personal favorite) the cobble stone streets. Throw some beautiful fall foliage with an adorable couple into the mix and you have the perfect picture! Kara and Ryan wanted to have a classic yet modern Philadelphia theme tied into their engagement session. So I thought what better place than to stroll along the cobblestone alleys in Society Hill?! These two were swooning over each other the entire time and I was totally eating every second of it up. I know, I’m so corny – #sorrynotsorry! I can’t wait to watch them tie the knot come 2016!”
