Kristen and Josh’s e-session will take you on an adventure through parts of Fairmount Park that look even more beautiful when captured by the amazing Melissa Kelly! These Philly love birds had a great backdrop for their engagement session, a beautiful sunset, and golden foliage made these Autumn photos really pop. I can’t express enough how much I love the Fairmount Park area, especially since I grew up right around the corner from Kelly Drive, I can even spot a few familiar places. This session ended with the Philadelphia skyline in the background, which is why this e-session has Philly In Love’s approval stamp of perfection!
From the Photographer: Originally a southern boy, Josh proposed to Kristen while they were vacationing in Charleston, SC. Since they met at Villanova, they now call the Philly area home and are getting married this September at St. Thomas of Villanova. Philadelphia is very important to Kristen and Josh, since they both work in Center City and love the culture, entertainment and excitement that the city provides! Kristen and Josh asked me to make some recommendations for their engagement shoot, so I took them down to one of my favorite parts of Fairmount Park–Historic RittenhouseTown. This tiny corner of Fairmount Park runs along Lincoln Drive and connects to both Forbidden Drive and the Wissahickon Bike Trail. RittenhouseTown has fabulous photo backdrops like the Wissahickon Creek, historic houses, and some great hiking trails. We were pretty fortunate to hit peak foliage, and even had time to head up to Belmont Plateau for a fabulous Philadelphia skyline sunset.
