“I’m from South Jersey and my husband is from Delaware County, right outside of Philadelphia.
When we first met, he asked me to go to dinner for our first date, but couldn’t wait to see me. He drove to my house the day before our scheduled date and we just walked on the beach and talked for hours. He proposed to me right on the same beach in Margate City, and it was so romantic.”
“We got married on May 9, 2015. We were engaged for a year and half. Our families are Greek, so we had a traditional Greek wedding with over 250 people. The planning for such a big wedding was pretty stressful.
The day of the wedding I did feel overwhelmed starting out the day. Once we were married in the church and on our way to our reception in the limo I felt so much more relaxed and calm.”
Wedding Planning Advice:
“Plan out exactly what photos you want taken beforehand. That way you don’t forget anything the day of.
The wedding photographer we had didn’t really do a great job capturing just the two of us on the day of the wedding. After the wedding we decided to get dressed up again, go to some of our favorite spots in Philly, and spend a couple hours with no distractions to take pictures of just the two of us. I am so happy we thought to do this. The pictures are wonderful and I recommend it to everyone!”
