Good News! You no longer need a permit to take engagement photos or wedding photos at ANY of Delaware River Waterfront parks. This includes:
1.) Race Street Pier
2.) Cherry Street Pier
3.) Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest/Summerfest
4.) Great Plaza
5.) Penn’s Landing Marina
6.) Spruce Street Harbor Park
7.) Washington Avenue Pier
8.) Pier 68
According to a recent update on the Delaware River Waterfront website (4/23):
Due to limited capacity, DRWC no longer provides wedding ceremony permits or services, as well as wedding and engagement photography permits.

Be Aware:
While you won’t need to go through the time and expense of obtaining a permit, you won’t be able to reserve a time or location for your engagement or wedding photography. So be aware that you might have people interrupt your session. Just be polite and ask them to give you a few moments, kindness always wins. 🙂
