Hi! I’m Sukey from Dress for the Wedding! I became acquainted with Philly in Love as a part of our mutual participation in Your Wedding Experience Presented by David Tutera – Philadelphia, and I fell in love with this blog! This wonderful resource has allowed me to become more familiar with the amazing couples in the Philadelphia area, to learn more about the popular locations for weddings and engagement photos around the city, and to discover the incredible wedding and event professionals who help make great Philadelphia weddings happen!
My blog, Dress for the Wedding, specializes in creating shoppable outfit collages for everyone involved in a wedding — including the couple, the wedding party, and the guests — to help everyone visualize and find resources for what to wear to a wedding.
In fact, I owe some of the inspiration for my blog to the great city of Philadelphia. Years ago, the first black tie wedding I ever attended was at The Rittenhouse, and I spent lots of time trying to figure out what to wear to such a formal wedding in such a beautiful location! My blog was created out of the wish to simplify the process of figuring out what to wear to a wedding, so my real life experience in your beautiful city helped on that journey!
Using the signature colors of Philly in Love as well as the vibrant red of the LOVE sculpture that is such a part of Philly’s charm, I created this outfit collage as a tribute to this wonderful blog and city. I picture this look as an eye-catching ensemble for engagement photos, or a dress to choose to be the center of attention at your engagement party or rehearsal dinner.
I’m also very excited to be back in Philadelphia on Sunday, February 28th to host the Something Social area of the Your Wedding Experience show. If you’re planning your wedding, I hope you’ll attend and say hello!
