The Lake House Inn was a befitting setting for this rustic Fall wedding! Unique Concepts Studio, Inc photographed the most enduring moments, that simply portray all of the love shared during Loren and Eric’s beautiful wedding day. Loren and Eric’s never-ending smiles, and pure exhilaration is shown all through out this entire day, and it’s outright contagious! Lovely elements like the gorgeous array of Fall inspired floral arrangements, wedding party attire, and naked wedding cake, all were the perfect palate complements to this enchanting day!
How They Met:
“We met through mutual friends. One of my friends and one of Eric’s friends (who was actually his best man) had dated previously and reconnected. He invited her to a party which she brought me to and that’s where we met (13 years ago).”
The Proposal:
“In our home, after work on the Friday before my 28th birthday (we work together at his family business). He left work earlier than me that day, and when I got home I walked upstairs looking for him and opened the bedroom door to a room full of votives and rose petals and him down on one knee-of course the answer was yes!”
Wedding Planning Experience:
“Really exciting and not (quite) as stressful as I had anticipated-thank god! I really enjoyed the process (looking back now I really miss it) and envisioning what things will look like or how they will play out but I was always looking forward to each part, because it was all so exciting.”
Wedding Inspiration:
“It started simply by picking our favorite season, autumn, and spiraled out from there. Eric grew up on a lake and I love to kayak, so the location was really special. We both love the rustic chic element that The Lake House Inn provides and there’s nothing better than that warm cozy feeling you get when the leaves start to change, which helped to inspire the color palate, floral arrangements and menu.”
Best Wedding Memory:
“It’s really hard to pick just one as the whole day really was perfect from start to finish. If I had to though, it was the few minutes that Eric and I took to escape up to the fire pit and we peeked down through the window of the boat house where the reception was unfolding and we could see our guests having a great time. We just reflected on the time it took to get to this point, how hard we worked to make it happen and just how happy we were at how everything turned out, but most of all that we were finally married!”
Wedding Planning Advice:
“Don’t stress about every little detail-it’s true, no one will see your shoes (I was also a non-believer) so wear something extra comfortable-and try try try not to look at the weather report-rain is good luck right?! But seriously, relish every moment of the process and enjoy it. Be gracious to all of those around you who are supporting you and offering a hand (nobody likes a bridezilla) but most importantly, on the day of, just relax and have the best day of your life-it goes by so quickly, try to enjoy it as if you were a guest and take an objective view-it’s much more fun that way, don’t worry it will be perfect.”
Wedding Vendor Experience:
“Ah-mazzingggg. Every one of my vendors was awesome. It was so convenient to have pretty much all of my vendors come from the ‘preferred vendors list’ so all had worked with The Lake House Inn and were not only familiar with the venue and their staff but with each other. Everything was so smooth and easy that way, and everyone was such a pleasure to work with and all were extremely thoughtful and professional.”
