How They Met:
“We met through mutual friends at the end of college. Dave was visiting childhood friends at Pitt who happened to be my close college friends. The first night we spent any time together, we talked and laughed for hours and completely lost track of time. Our personalities clicked instantly, and we have been laughing through life together ever since.”
Wedding Inspiration:
“When we started planning, we didn’t have much of an idea of what we wanted. We knew we wanted to incorporate our love for Philadelphia, particularly Yards beer, and Federal Donuts, but we didn’t think too much past that. Once we picked JG Domestic for our venue, it all fell into place. We loved the Urban rustic feel, and we felt it fit our personalities just perfectly. JG Domestic is stunning on its own and doesn’t need much to take it to the next level. I had a blast designing the little details to make the venue reflect us! My favorite design aspect was definitely the rustic doors we added as a backdrop to our ceremony and head table. My genius, talented mom made the doors from scratch, and it was so much fun! Our flowers were also a huge hit at the wedding. We used Al’s Finishing Touch, and they did such a great job bringing our vision to life. We wanted an urban garden feel with lots of whimsical greenery, succulents, and white flowers. They nailed it!”
“Really, we could not have been happier with all of our vendors. It was truly an all-star team and it wouldn’t have been the same without them. We felt as though our vendors not only fit our vision but our personalities as well! Our coordinator Arielle Fera was a perfect match for our wedding day. She helped bring our vision to life and allowed us to enjoy our wedding day completely stress-free. Our photographer, Danette Pascarella did a phenomenal job of capturing all the real, raw moments of our wedding day. Her ability to capture moments is unmatched. Looking at the pictures, you can re-live the entire day.”
Favorite Wedding Moments:
“It’s so hard to choose! A few highlights include the ceremony by our good friend and officiant, Rashida. The love we felt in the room during the ceremony still makes us emotional to this day. It was everything we could have possibly wished for. Our bridal party’s entrances were definitely a favorite – we couldn’t believe how quickly they pulled together the hilarious stunts, including potato sack races, choreographed dance routines and more. It was so much fun to follow that with our first dance- we took dance lessons and were super nervous, so the laughter helped with the nerves. My dad playing the spoons was also a major highlight..he typically plays them at every family party and we absolutely love it. We gifted him with engraved spoons on the wedding night, and everyone was chanting his name. it really got the party going!
Just being surrounded by all of our closest friends and family celebrating our love made all of the planning and hard work worth it.”
