Shonta and Curtis are absolutely sweet together, and their captivating wedding is an exhibit of true love. Bartlett Pair Photography perfectly captured this glamorous wedding at the Water Works, a newly designed venue owned by Cescaphe Event Group. The Bride utterly planned this day herself, and every detail culminated as effortless as can be! We absolutely adore the eminently beautiful florals crafted by Beautiful Blooms, that are simply rosy, and add the perfect touch of natural elegance to this day. All of the vendors involved in this wedding certainly worked their magic for this significant celebration, and the pretty photographs, and couple’s love story are simply divine!
How They Met:
“My husband and I met during the summer of 2009 at the Manayunk Bike Race. “
The Proposal:
“He surprised me with a trip to Miami for my 31st birthday. During this trip he took me on a private plane ride and while we were overlooking the beautiful scenery in Miami he pulled out the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. At this moment he asked me to be his wife. Best birthday present ever!”
Best Memory:
“There were so many memorable moments from the day of the wedding but if I have to pick just one I would say it was the “first look.” This was so intimate and special for us. Seeing him for the first time that day and knowing this is the man I will spend the rest of my life was surreal.”
Wedding Planning Experience:
“Planning the wedding was pretty fun but I will say as the day got closer it became very stressful. There are a lot of tiny details that I did not consider so that made things very stressful towards the end. Also, not having a wedding planner added to the stress. Coordinating everything on my own was a lot of work and having a wedding planner towards the end would have been helpful.”
Wedding Inspiration:
“The inspiration for the wedding was “Fall Glamour.” Since the wedding was in October we went with fall colors and I wanted a glamorous feel for the day.”
Wedding Planning Advice:
“My advice is to stay calm and don’t lose sight of your overall goal. At the end of the day a wedding is about two people that love each and want to spend the rest of their lives together. It is easy to lose sight during all the chaos but this one single thought will put everything into perspective.”
Wedding Vendor Experience:
“We were very lucky and had the BEST vendors. All of our vendors were exceptional. We did not have the most traditional wedding, and every vendor was more than helpful in accommodating our needs.
