How did you and your partner meet?
We met online while we were living about 2 hours away from each other. After a year of trips back and forth each weekend, we moved to be closer together. It was the best decision ever!
Tell us about the proposal
Sean proposed in Disney, where we took our first vacation together. Disney has always been a magical place for us, and was the perfect setting for such a special time in our lives. We had breakfast reservations in Magic Kingdom one morning, and were admitted to the park early before most crowds. Sean diverted me to a different security line than he was in, and told me that we would get through quicker this way. In hindsight, he was terrified that security would find the ring and pull it out of his bag! While having our photo taken in front of the castle, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! We spent the rest of our trip celebrating our engagement just the two of us. We can’t wait to go back and celebrate everything that has happened since that day!
What was your experience in planning your wedding?
We had a wonderful experience planning our wedding, mainly because we surrounded ourselves with an amazing team of vendors. We worked together as a couple to make all choices and decisions, and planned a day that was nothing short of our dreams.
Tell us about your venue, and why you chose it?
Our reception was held at Blue Bell Country Club, following the ceremony at Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Doylestown. It was important to us that our wedding take place in the church where we would one day raise our family. After visiting several venues for the reception, Blue Bell Country Club impressed us with their professionalism and wide array of choices that would allow us to personalize our celebration. They were always available to answer our questions, helped us to make the best choices, and served a delicious meal that our guests still rave about!
What was your inspiration for the wedding?
When planning our wedding, our inspiration was to create a day that would be romantic, timeless, and elegant. We wanted to plan a day that was a true celebration of our love and commitment to each other.
What was the best memory/moment from your wedding day?
The most memorable part of our wedding day was reciting our vows. It was such an emotional moment for us both, and to realize that we had all of our family and friends standing behind us brought overwhelming feelings of love and support.
What advice can you give to couples planning a wedding?
It can be so easy to get caught up in the craziness of planning a wedding! The best advice I can give to another couple planning their wedding is to remember the true focus of that day, and know that you will be married to your best friend at the end of it all. Don’t let anything take away from that excitement!
What was your experience like working with your vendors?
Our vendors worked together flawlessly as a team, giving the impression that they had known each other for years. We feel blessed to have worked with them over the course of our engagement, and truly appreciated the communication between vendors as we got closer to the wedding day to finalize all details and timelines. They were crucial in bringing our vision to life.
