From the Bride-to-be: “Mike and I met online, on JDate! I think what I love most about him is how easily he makes me laugh. We’re so silly together and I adore that. Mike proposed one night after dinner at our favorite sushi spot. He ran back upstairs to our apartment before we went to dinner because “he forgot his phone,” but he was really setting the scene for when we got back from dinner. After he popped the question, I was still under the impression that we were going to a bar to celebrate one of his friend’s birthdays, but it was really a surprise for me when I walked in to see family and friends, all there to celebrate us! Years ago I saw someone’s engagement pictures taken at Race Street Pier, and I fell in love with the setting. Mike and I have lived in the city together for a few years, and it just made sense. We have a long engagement, so we’ve been planning for a while and have had the luxury of getting everything done at a very relaxed pace. It’s been fairly stress-free, and I intend to do my best to keep it that way!”
