Rainy Head House Square Proposal

From the amazing Alexzandra Robertson Photography

Evan planned the perfect surprise proposal to Nikki. Starting at Head House Square, Alexzandra Robertson captured the misty, rainy, proposal under the covered market at the square. Evan invited Nikki’s family and friends to attend, who were hidden nearby at Cavanaugh’s, only to emerge after Nikki said “Yes.” Next, the couple headed around the Society Hill neighborhood for some engagement photos, including at Merchants Exchange.

About Head House Square

Nestled in the Society Hill neighborhood, this cobblestone-paved square is home to the iconic Head House Market, one of the oldest continuously operating markets in the United States. Steeped in history, the square’s cobblestone streets and preserved 18th-century buildings transport visitors back in time, offering a glimpse into Philadelphia’s colonial past. It’s also a fantastic spot for proposals, engagement photos, and even wedding photos during your special day. The covered central market is the perfect spot for a rainy day alternative to another photo location, too.
