A Christmas Proposal to Remember by Lora Reehling Photography

It’s about that time to reminisce about the holidays, but in a special way!  This past Christmas will be one to remember for Ryan and Meghan, especially since they’re a newly engaged couple!  Ryan popped the big question right in the middle of Philadelphia’s City Hall, and this particular Christmas occasion wouldn’t be complete without Lora Reehling behind the lens to grab every moment of the proposal!  Meghan said yes of course, and her reaction was purely priceless!  Not to mention how stunning she looked in her red chinos and kitten heels, but wait until you see her matching manicure, she picked the perfect day to have those nails primped and ready to show!

From the Photographer:
“When Ryan contacted me to let me know he’d like to capture his proposal to his girlfriend, Meghan, I was super excited!Ryan told me he had asked Meghan’s parents for permission to marry their daughter in that very spot, not long ago, and thought the location would create a fun story and natural introduction to his big surprise for her that day. Behind the lens, I was loving every moment…it was so emotional and exciting! Meghan’s happy face told it all. After she said yes, (!) Ryan picked her up with one arm several feet about the ground with a solid embrace that I can only imagine made time stand still for those two. Cheers and clapping commenced for all those around, and I ran up to give them a hug and introduce myself to Meghan. “Yayyy!” What would I do without the word, “yay!?” I don’t know. It’s always perfect. We took a couple quick shots in and outside of City Hall, and they were on their way to celebrate with a whole party full of people to share the good news. I strolled down to the Christmas Village in the sunshine with a huge smile on my face. What an amazing thing. I was invited to capture the beginning. The very beginning of something wonderful. What an incredible job I get to do. It all worked out perfectly. It was a beautiful day, Meghan was completely surprised, and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding later this year in October!”

Details From the Couple:

The ring was purchased at Robert Cott Jewelers on Sansom Street from Robert’s daughter, Dana Cott who runs the store and was an absolute pleasure to work with. They have been in business for 50 years. We were blessed with a perfect clear sky day and City Hall lit up with the sun shining on it. We had a great photographer! And were lucky to have a very friendly crowd around us.
