One of our favorite photographers, Nik Morina, shares his own engagement photos with his now wife, Dana, in NYC.
With “Philly” in our name, it should be pretty obvious we only share engagements, weddings, and proposals from around the Philadelphia area. But as with any rule, there are always exceptions. And when one of our favorite photographers gets engages, that is one of those exceptions! So with that, we are sooo excited to bring you this NYC engagement shoot of Nik Morina and his, now wife, Dana. Enjoy!

How did you and your fiance meet?
“Dona and I meet through Instagram during the Pandemic. I was in Europe away from the crazy at the time here in the US. After constant chatting for over 2 weeks and we had our first date as soon as I got back, a picnic date in Central Park, NY.” ~ Nik

What do you love most about your partner?
“I love how caring she is, an introvert at heart, she knows what she wants and doesn’t shy away from speaking her mind.” ~ Nik

How did you propose?
“I proposed at the Edge rooftop in NY.” ~ Nik

What was your inspiration for the engagement photos?
“So! How do I go about writing for my own engagement session? That is right!!! Finally, I jumped the other side of the lens. After photographing over hundreds of weddings and people in love, finally I got the chance to see how it feels to be in front of the camera. When I was telling people that I proposed, they would ask; who is going to photograph your wedding? Well of course as much as I love so many amazing photographers I had to trust David our team members with this. Mainly because we strive to get to know our couples before photographing them, so I figured who better knows us than David!” ~ Nik

(Have you started wedding planning) If so, how has your experience been so far?
“We did a micro wedding in NY with ceremony in Central Park and and dinner reception at MOLOS across the river with Manhattan skyline as the background.” ~ Nik
