TraciElaine Photography perfectly captured the pure happiness Colin and Elise concurrently display for their engagement session. The enchanting looks at one another, the sweet forehead kisses, and the playfulness all throughout make this session oh-so-charming. The couple explored the trails of Forbidden Drive and the surrounding setting of Wissahickon Creek. This unique location is one of our favorite spots to take engagement photos because it provides the perfect rustic backdrop for an organic photo session. If the photos don’t say enough then this couple’s love story will make your heart flutter, keep scrolling to see all of the beauty that unfolded on this special day.
From the Photographer, Traci Elaine Photography: “Colin & Elise grew up fairly close to each other but never met until they both attended Drexel University. After dating for 6 years, they got engaged this past July and are getting married in October. Colin asked me to take their engagement photos at one of their favorite places, by the Wissahickon Creek in Fairmount Park.
They were up for anything in their session and kicked off their shoes, Colin rolled up his pants and they played in the Creek, climbed rocks and explored the trails. It was a perfect setting to capture their playful spirit and to showcase their love.”
How They Met:
“Our paths first crossed in elementary school, but we didn’t realize this until they crossed again 11 years later. We were introduced by a mutual friend at a summer backyard barbecue in Mantua. We hit it off immediately and six years later, we’re making it official!”
“I love his creativity, intelligence, adventurous spirit, and shared love of pizza. He says he loves the way we laugh when we do the same silly thing at the same time.”
“We went to dinner at Friday, Saturday, Sunday under the guise of a celebration for a new job. When we returned home, some helpers had set up twinkling lights, flowers, and champagne in the yard. It was the perfect, private proposal he knew I’d love.”
“For our engagement session we wanted to capture the beauty of Philadelphia, the city where we met, fell in love, experienced so many wonderful memories, and will be getting married.”
Wedding Planning Experience:
“We are planning a small, intimate wedding in the Rose Garden at Independence National Historical Park in Old City. The wedding has come together fairly easily, and we’re just finishing up the last touches! It helps that we are keeping it very small. We will be having a large celebration with friends and extended family in the spring of next year.”
Engagement Session Experience:
“We can’t say enough great things about Traci Elaine! She was a true professional and a joy to work with. She skillfully listened to our vision and perfectly captured the happiness and playfulness that represent this exciting moment in our lives. She went above and beyond in every way – communication prior to the session, during the shoot, and delivery of photos.”
