From the photographer, Deibert Photography: “When we met Keke and Rob, we immediately loved how Rob was taking the lead on planning the perfect day for him and Keke – and it was clear he’d do anything to make her happy. When the day arrived, the crew was having a ton of fun getting ready at a hotel nearby the venue before we hit up the Manayunk Brewery for the ceremony and reception. There were no holding back any tears as Rob saw his bride come down the aisle, and the emotions ran high all day long and well into the night. We loved all the Great Gatsby touches, as Papertini transformed Manayunk Brewery into a stunning space, and Desserts By Dana had a serious line-up of sweets. To top it off, the DJ kept the dance floor packed as the couple celebrated with all their beloved friends and family.”
How They Met
“Rob and I met during the fall semester of 2012 at Community College of Philadelphia in a business management class. Rob could not help but to stare at me from across the class, but the only thing that he could bring himself to do was smile brightly at me. I began to gather people to start a study group and purposely did not include Rob because of the heart eyes he had for me. (Rob got his chance to woo Keiasha with his intelligence by showing her he received an A on a quiz). Soon thereafter, he and I would study together and he would walk me to my car afterwards. A friendship blossomed and we found ourselves painting Center City Philadelphia red during workday evenings.”
The Proposal
“Rob decided to propose at the very same place we both met, the Community College of Philadelphia. One day Rob saw me walking passed him while he was sitting outside on the steps waiting for his class to begin. I rushed passed and said I would come back to chat; Rob proposed on those same steps!”
Wedding Planning
“Planning our wedding was stressful, but eventful. Although we had a two-year engagement it felt like the time went by very fast!”
The Manayunk Brewery
“The Manayunk Brewery has a great location and it went perfectly with our personality and wedding theme. Rob loves beer, so the atmosphere and pricing was everything we were looking for!”
Wedding Inspiration
“I wanted an Art deco, elegant, romantic and classic mood. We wanted to have a timeless look to our wedding and reception decor with classic black and touches of gold.”
Best Moment
“The ceremony fell on a perfect sunny day for our outdoor ceremony. It was supposed to rain! There was no better feeling than seeing each other for the first time at the aisle.”
Wedding Planning Advice
“Create an excel sheet or keep a journal to stay on budget. That worked for us.”
Wedding Vendors
“All of our vendors worked very well with each other and us. They were all very personable and felt more like friends than vendors. They worked very hard to help make memorable moments. They didn’t make us feel pressure with any decision-making and made us feel like the only couple that mattered.”
