Jenna and Eric’s wedding beautifully integrated “The Great Gatsby” style, with vivid decor details, gushing florals, and personal charm. Union Trust was a perfect fit for this modern wedding, and its industrial chic ambience set the most enchanting mood. Ralph Deal Photography captured this delightful day, producing the most elegant visuals that simply present every precious moment from this fete! Striking visuals, a gorgeous color palette, and unassailable love and happiness, are just a few key ingredients to this impeccably lovely day.
From the Bride | Jenna: “Eric and I met under unlikely circumstances at a dive bar – in a town that neither of us lived or worked – on a night neither of us had planned on going out in the first place. His friend spilled a beer on me and Eric saved my seat so I could dry off. Fast forward two years and Eric is looking up google searches for “beach proposals” and I am feeling guilty for seeing them and excited for our upcoming Costa Rica trip. One day while driving through that same town, we impulsively stopped to take a picture in front of the bar we had met. In true Eric form, he had rented it out and filled it with our families (none of which who lived in that state!), candles and flowers to surprise me with the most beautiful proposal I could have ever hoped for. “
“Thats our love story and that is what I wanted to highlight above all else at our wedding. We wanted our guests to have a great time and feel our appreciation and love for them all. To have all of our favorite people in one place was truly amazing.”
“Eric and I are a very laid back couple. We don’t sweat the details because everything always works out in the end, right? For us, the best decision we made was hiring vendors who’s work and personality resonated with us. We gave very little restrictions and encouraged creative freedom, and it just all worked out perfectly.”
“My dress was the very first dress I tried on but not the first dress I purchased! For me, the end result was so romantic, detailed and perfectly suited for a tall bride. My veil was a beautiful, soft silk tulle in a cathedral length. My maid of honor and bridesmaid (Eric’s sister) both chose their own gowns separately. Our music included a Beyonce recessional (All Night) which happened to be my favorite detail – to Gatsby inspired “electro-swing” music during the cocktail hour. Our DJ really blew us away with his skills during the reception.”
“The venue we chose was a mix of modern, art deco and industrial. The high ceilings at Union Trust, with amazing up-lights and unique panels created a dramatic backdrop for all of our photos. The details and floral designs added an unexpected magical gardens-vibe that surprisingly really worked!”
“We were married under a ficus tree chuppah with ivory canopy. It included hanging candles suspended from branches and florals at base of trees in same color tones as the bouquets. The bouquets had a romantic flowing dripping look. The flowers included antique dusty rose hydrangeas, pink ranunculus, magenta dahlias, red stock, hanging red and green amaranths, seeded eucalyptus trimming. Eric and his groomsmen wore burgundy coxcomb, the cake was also decorated in the same pallet with the same flowers. Each table had a framed quote from one of our favorite books or movies, high and low floral arrangements, and large clear glass cylinders with pillar candlesticks. The cake topper cast the most gorgeous shadow on the wall too which was a also a very pleasant surprise.”
“To us, the night just flowed so perfectly. All of our pictures have a little bit of a magical element, that matches my memory of the day so perfectly. We are still overjoyed with how the night went, and grateful for the experience and for our family and friends – who came from all over the country to celebrate with us!”
