Valley Forge National Historical Park Engagement Session by Bartlett Pair Photography
The scenery, the romance, and the joyful love that is eminently present within this couple… are the most perfect elements displayed in these gorgeous photographs captured by Bartlett Pair Photography. Valley Forge National Historical Park provides a naturally elegant backdrop, and it served as the most enchanting setting for this rustic engagement session. This shoot is brimming with charm, which could be a result of Deonna and Sean’s chemistry, or maybe it’s their adorable puppy Benjamin. Either way one look at this lovely engagement will make your heart flutter!
How They Met:
“My fiancé and I first met in Miami, back in March of 2012. It was a brief encounter as we were among mutual friends at a popular event. It wasn’t until later that year, in July, that our paths crossed again. He spotted me across a local bar on the Jersey Shore where I was celebrating a friends birthday. Amazed that he was seeing the girl he met in Miami, now in Jersey, he quickly ran up and approached me with much excitement. Unfortunately, for him, I had no recollection of our meeting in Miami and was also in a serious relationship.
It wasn’t until October of 2012 that we were reconnected in Philadelphia, and this time I was single. It took us three different states and cities to realize fate kept bringing us together. The rest is HIStory :)”
What Do You Love Most About Him:
“That’s a tough question, because I love so much about him; his humor, selflessness, loyalty, endless support, the list goes on. Sean is my best friend. He’s there for me through thick and thin, good times and in bad, and truly loves me with all his heart. To find someone that you can love and also laugh through life with, is truly a blessing and I feel so incredibly lucky.”
“Back in November of 2015, Sean told me we were going to a work dinner and to dress up, as he was being recognized and presented with a sales award. He had a white Bentley pick us up, and when I stepped inside there was a dozen long stem roses as well as champagne in the backseat. The driver drove us into Center City and pulled off onto the median, where he said the road was blocked off and needed to figure out a different route.
The driver then proceeded to get out of the car and opened the door to let me out. Utterly confused, I just went along with it. Sean eventually got out and walked me over to a red carpet that was custom made and laid out right in front of City Hall in Philadelphia. That is where he got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of our lives together!”
Engagement Photo Inspiration:
“When looking for ideas for our engagement photos we knew we wanted it to be fun and involve our puppy Benjamin. With having our proposal right in Center City among the hustle and bustle, we thought it would be a great idea to showcase the serenity of Philadelphia. Valley Forge National Historical Park was the perfect backdrop. With the gorgeous greenery, stone buildings, railroad tracks, and freshly bloomed Cherry Blossom Tree, it served as the ultimate engagement photo location.”
Wedding Planning Experience:
“We didn’t miss a beat. With working a full time job as well as a part-time job that keeps me very busy during the summer through the winter, so I knew planning needed to start right away. The experience of planning has honestly been so much fun! We are able to take our time, personalize a lot of the details, and save money by tackling a lot of the projects on our own! I recommend having a long engagement because the process goes by so quick, and having plenty of time to plan allows you to truly enjoy every moment.”
Engagement Session Experience:
“Jaime and Lincoln are absolutely phenomenal and we are so fortunate to have found them to capture our love. From our very first phone conversation with Jaime, we knew Bartlett Pair Photography would be a perfect fit! They are the epitome of the “dynamic duo” and made everything so incredibly easy and comfortable. The pictures they took during our engagement session are memories we will have for a lifetime, and we are beyond excited for our wedding this fall!”
From the Photographer: “Deonna and Sean are one of those dreamy couples who make anything look good. And they make love look REALLY good. It pretty much goes without saying that Deonna is stunning and it’s really no surprise since she is also a super talented Philadelphia Eagles cheerleader! This is awesome and benefits us too because she is a breeze to pose, and basically takes the lead making every shot breathtaking!
We met up with Deonna and Sean (and their adorable little dog, Benjamin!) for their Valley Forge National Historical Park engagement session. Upon arrival, the entire scene was gorgeous and begging to be photographed – rustic stone buildings, lush green fields with fluffy white dandelion puffballs and trees bursting with gorgeous white blossoms…does it get much better than that? We had the absolute best time getting to know Deonna and Sean and have no doubt that their Anthony Wayne House wedding is going to be over-the-top gorgeous and just perfection.”
