From the photographer, Tami & Ryan Photography: “Brian and Allison’s love story began over 9 years ago when they both worked as lifeguards at the township pool! Fast forward to this past Valentine’s Day, they were unable to celebrate because Allison was working a late shift. So, Brian suggested they celebrate the following Tuesday, since they were both off. Before they headed out, Brian gave Allison her gift. She opened the gift to find a collage of their cats and it said “Will You Meowy Me?” She then turned around to find Brian down on one knee with his camera set up, recording the whole thing! Of course she said YES! And Brian had their closest family and friends waiting at a local brewery to celebrate!!”
How They Met
Brian and I were first acquaintances, he has been friends with my brother, Dan, since middle school. It was not until I started a summer job (Summer 2009) as a lifeguard as that same place Brian had worked for several years. That’s where we really got to know each other and kinda sorta fell in love. We dated each other for the past 10+ years and really grew together through all life’s experiences.
The Proposal
Brian proposed 2/19-19. We planned to spend celebrate Valentine’s day a little later due to our conflicting work schedules. Little did I know my Valentine’s gift was a photo collage of us and our cats with “Will you meowy me?” printed on it. I turned around to see Brian down on one knee with a beautiful ring asking me to marry him. He even set his phone up to capture it all on video. After he had our closest friends and family at one of our favorite breweries to celebrate. It was perfect. We both are not into public scenes and it was truly a special moment we got to share privately.
Engagement Session Inspiration
“We both love the season of fall. We searched for a few places online to get some inspiration then we went to visit Batsto before we did our engagement shoot. We loved it there!!! So many cool buildings, history, the lake, and the autumn foliage was exactly what we were looking for.”
Wedding Planning
Yes we started wedding planning shortly after we got engaged in February of 2019. 02/19. We gave ourselves a little over a year and a half to plan, and it has really been enjoyable. We’re surrounded by a lot of support from our family and friends which has been incredibly helpful.”
