We love adventurous couples, and BJ and Nifer took their engagement session to the next level with their location choice and their prevailing fashion taste. A lovely bike ride paired with the cultivated scenery of the Navy Yard, it’s a charming e-session that has me smiling from ear-to-ear. One of our favorite photographers, Emily Wren was there to snap all of the special moments and we’re so lucky to share them with you!

BJ & Nifer became aware of the unique beauty of the Navy Yard thanks to Nifer’s job at Urban Outfitters (whose headquarters are located there). The Navy Yard is a strange blend of artfully restored and landscaped areas mixed with more forgotten and rundown spaces. Walking around here, one has the feeling of exploring a lost hidden city within Philadelphia. At the end of the session we came across the houses once occupied by Navy families, now completely abandoned, which provided for some interesting shots.
